Privacy
StoryVault is a private place to keep stories and photos about people
you love. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
- Account email, first and last name, and a hashed password (or Google sign-in).
- Memories you write, including optional photos.
- Vault membership, how you said you are related to the person a vault is about, and invite details so private vaults stay private.
- A first-party visitor cookie so vault admins can see how many people opened the vault, and which stories family held dear. We do not use third-party analytics.
Where it lives
The app runs on Fly.io in Dallas (dfw). Text and account
data are stored in SQLite on that server. Photos, when enabled, are
stored in Google Cloud Storage and fetched with short-lived signed URLs.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent user data.
- We do not export your memories to personal inboxes.
- We do not store passwords in plain text.
Questions: email the vault owner who invited you, or the operator at
the address used to create this StoryVault.
